Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what BeKnownBy, a product of Pathworks AI LLC ("we", "us"), collects and how we use it. We built the Service to keep data collection to a minimum. There are no accounts.

The Service is free, and being free does not make you the product: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your answers to train AI models.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to generate your kit:

• Your answers. The text you type into the five questions. These are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your kit. We do not store your answers on our servers, and we do not keep your finished kit after it is returned to your browser.
• Temporarily in your browser. Your finished kit is kept in your browser's local storage so a refresh doesn't lose it. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our servers process basic technical information such as IP address and request metadata to operate the Service, apply rate limits, and protect against abuse. This appears in standard server logs.
• Your email address. If you choose to email yourself a copy of your kit, you enter an address on the result page. We use it only to deliver that kit through our email provider, and we do not store it or use it for marketing.

How we use it

To generate your kit, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the Service. The Service is free, and we do not sell your personal information or use your answers to train AI models.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of trusted providers, each under its own privacy terms:

• Anthropic: processes your answers to generate the kit.
• Vercel: hosting and delivery.
• Resend: sends your kit by email, only when you ask us to.
• PostHog: product analytics, loaded only with your consent.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising cookies. With your consent, we use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the site is used; it may set cookies and record page views, clicks, and session activity. You can decline, and we won't load it. We also use your browser's local storage to hold your finished kit on your device.

Data retention

We do not retain your answers or your finished kit. Standard server logs are kept only as needed to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not hold your answers or an account profile, there is little personal data to access or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. For any question, contact us and we will help, consistent with applicable law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data, including handling API keys only on the server. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted here with a new date.
